Overview

The Translated Fields for Jira & JSM app provides new types of custom fields, such as:

  • Translated Select (single choice)

  • Translated Select (multiple choice)

  • Translated Checkboxes

  • Translated Radio Buttons

When a Translated field is displayed in Create Issue View or Issue View, its options are rendered according to the user's language set in their profile.

How it works

As Jira administrator, follow the steps:

  1. Create a new Translated field from the new types provided by the app,

  2. Select languages that you want to support, provide options and their translations; you can import them from a file,

  3. Add a custom field to the screens

  4. In result: the options of translated fields are displayed based on the user's locale set in their profile.

Forge app

Translated Fields for Jira is built on the Atlassian Forge platform.

Customer Portal support

Third-party custom fields are not yet supported by Jira itself on the Customer Portal. Therefore, we decided to create our own extensions dedicated to Jira Service Management projects. If your goal is to provide translated fields on the Customer Portal read our JIRA SERVICE MANAGEMENT sections.
